A panel of industry experts from Philbrook's Boatyard will walk you through their role in your boating experience at two of the most important times in most boaters lives--buying a boat and getting ready for a cruise. The seminar focuses on what used-boat owners as well as new boat owners should consider as they have their boat surveyed, customized, or refit.

Philbrook's has canvassed surveyors experienced with both used and new boats and will share with you the most important and common issues encountered by surveyors when examining boats at the point of purchase. Learn what surveyors look for, and how boat buyers should interpret that information. Attendees will also learn what to expect from their boatyard, and how to manage both cost estimates and expectations. The critical relationship between the boat owner and his yard can't be over estimated.

The Boatyard Guys will summarize the 10 most common problems that cause cruisers to go to a boatyard, mid-cruise. The presentation will focus on things to look for as well as preventive maintenance that any owner can do prior to departing on their cruise, as well as and spare parts that you should carry. This session will include audience participation and questions, so bring your specific questions to the experts. The goal is to make the most out of your ownership experience, and the Boatyard Guys are here to help!
