Duties and Skills
- Electricians with marine experience or familiarity with generation and power distribution.
- Ability to work on different marine electrical systems (ie: water-makers, hydraulic systems, diesel furnaces, black water systems, electronics and NMEA 2000 systems)
- Deliver exceptional customer service that supports repeat business and continued satisfaction of Philbrook’s Boatyard clients
- Keep docks and work space clean and free from debris to ensure the safety of clients and staff
- Meet or exceed expectations with regard to promised times of completion
- Ensure all workmanship and quality consists with Philbrook’s Boatyard standards
Qualifications
- Must be able to freely travel in & out of USA
- Red Seal Electrical Certificate preferred
- Must hold valid class 5 driver’s license
- Hands-on multi-tasker, ability to work independently or as part of a small team
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Pleasure Craft Operators Card, see Transport Canada's website
- Recreational boating experience useful
- Computer Skills--comfortable with the use of computer equipment including the internet and email; the ability to use Excel and Word, plus a general understanding of network management and IP protocols.
- Must have own tools
Compensation
Competitive with industry standards and includes a comprehensive health and benefits package with RRSP after 1 year on staff.
